AJM Renews Vertigo Sponsorship
At Vertigo Theatre's 2009-2010 season launch earlier this week, it was announced that AJM has committed to another three years as the corporate sponsor of Vertigo's Mystery Theatre.
In conversation with Mark Bellamy, Vertigo's Artistic Director, Robin Mann, AJM's Chairman & CEO, outlined AJM's reasons for renewing the sponsorship: "Vertigo represents the arts component of our four-part community investment strategy and we feel they play an important role in Calgary's arts community."
At the launch, Vertigo's upcoming Mystery Theatre season was described as a season of mysterious women, with plays including Blood Relations by Sharon Pollock, Murder on the Nile by Dame Agatha Christie, The Woman in Black adapted by Stephen Mallatratt from the book by Susan Hill, Evelyn Strange by Steward Lemoine, and the classic Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.
"Vertigo continues to capture our imagination - it is easy to commit to an organization when you enjoy what they do," said Mr. Mann. "We're excited to be part of Vertigo's future and we're looking forward to the coming season."
Housing two performing spaces, The Playhouse and The Studio, Vertigo Theatre produces a mystery series (Vertigo Mystery Theatre) and presents theatre-for-young-audience productions from across the country (Y Stage Series). Vertigo continues to be Canada's only presenter of mystery based shows. For more information about Vertigo Theatre, please visit www.vertigotheatre.com
